Searching the Index via Adobe Acrobat reader v5.0 and below
The PDF file is searchable by clicking find then typing in the content. Just left click within the body of the webpage and
type the word you want i.e. "segmented". You can find the next instance by clicking "find again".
The shortcut to the find utility is the binoculars icon at the top menu bar.
Searching the Index via Adobe Acrobat v6.0 or above
The PDF file is searchable by clicking on the binoculars icon at the top menu bar. When you click the icon, it opens a panel
on the right side. Just type in a word or phrase (i.e. "segmented")
to search. Multiple results will be returned and you can click on them to see the entry (or entries) in the PDF file.
The user experience with this version of Acrobat reader is substantially better. (The AAW webmaster recommends it).
Hint for frequent users
Note that if you frequently use the Journal Index you can access it quicker by downloading to your PC. To download the Index
just right click on the American Woodturner Journal Index link near the top of the page and select "save target as".
Then you can save it as a file on your PC. Subsequent access will be a lot quicker when you directly open the file on your PC
(vs. opening it on the website).
