Earl Dennis "Denny” Wetter, Bradenton, FL


Earl Dennis "Denny” Wetter, 74, of Bradenton, FL, passed away December 26, 2020, after a courageous 6-year battle with cancer.

He was born September 30, 1946, to Sadie (Cocanower) and Robert (Jack) Wetter in South Bend, IN. He married Judy Carbiener on July 16, 1966 and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for United Parcel Service in northern Indiana for 29 years, then moved to Florida and designed boat windshields at Taylor Made until he retired in 2009.

Denny was an avid and skilled woodturner and had pictures and articles of his work published. He was a member of American Association of Woodworkers, The Florida West Coast Woodworkers and Sarasota Woodturners. He also was a member of Faith United Church of Christ and the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts, which honored him for service to the organization.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Tom and his sister, Katie. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy; his brother, John (Mary Lou); children, Jamie (Robert) Piontkowski and Todd (Chris) Wetter and 5 grandchildren, Nate, Ava, Violet, Kelsey, and Nick.
