Nancy Duecaster Kerns, Pataskala, OH

Nancy Duecaster Kerns, 68, of Pataskala, Ohio passed away peacefully on January 18, 2021. She was born March 31, 1952 in Sharon, Pennsylvania to the late Albert and Opal (Ensor) Duecaster; also preceded in death by her brother Carl. Nancy earned a bachelor's degree in accounting as well as a master's degree in computer science. She worked in a variety of positions throughout her lifetime, and most recently enjoyed helping senior citizens at the Pickerington Senior Center with tax preparation. Nancy had a green thumb and loved working in her gardens. She also appreciated the time she spent with her husband Bruce creating wood working and being a part of the wood working community. In addition to her husband Bruce, Nancy will be missed by her sons, Jason and Jonathan (Stephanie); beloved grandchildren Josh, Alex, Lily, Freyja and Rhiannon; siblings Barbara (William) Wood, Blaine (Margie) Duecaster, Danny (Edie) Duecaster, David (Jane) Duecaster; sisters-in-law Jeri (Don) Klopfenstein and Elaine (Warren) Gifford as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Family will welcome friends from 5-7pm Friday, February 19, 2021 at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Nancy's memory may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio or to the James Cancer Hospital.
