Pablo Gazmuri, Needham, MA

 

GAZMURI, Dr. Pablo Age 76, of Needham, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home. Born in Santiago, Chile, he was a respected physician, loving family man, and committed community member. A graduate of the University of Chile and Harvard Medical School, Dr. Gazmuri served patients in Needham for over three decades, first at Glover Memorial Hospital and later in the bariatric surgery practice at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He leaves behind a remarkable 40-year medical career and a lasting legacy in the field of medicine. A lifelong learner and mentor, Dr. Gazmuri had an enduring passion for alleviating human suffering and extending compassionate care. Beyond his medical pursuits, he had a love for woodturning, photography, sailing, and culinary arts. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; his four children, Maria Paz, Francisca, Pablo, Jr., and Cristian; stepchildren, Jessie and Bear; grandchildren; and several siblings. His life and legacy serve as a testament to hard work, integrity, and kindness. His kindness and compassion have deeply touched all those who knew him.
