It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of First State Woodturners member Ron Wilson. Ron was truly an artist and master craftsman. He collected and used 18th century period tools to produce exquisite furniture. He was an artistic woodturner and master wood carver, including carving the Wind God figures on the stern of Delaware's 17th century tall ship, Kalmar Nyckel.   

Ron could always be counted on to bring in the most unique Christmas ornaments at our annual party.  He enjoyed creating them for gifts to his grandchildren.

In addition to First State Woodturners, Ron was a member of the Salem County Art League, the American Association of Woodturners, and the Salem County Arts in Bloom Committee.
