Bill Jones
88, passed away Sept 23rd while in hospice care at PBG Medical Center. Born in Boston, he graduated from Boston College in 1957 with a B.S. in Physics. He soon started his thirty-year career with Raytheon Corp., rising from Engineering to General Management before retiring as President of Switchcraft, a Chicago subsidiary of Raytheon.
A resident of Juno Beach since 1995, Bill is survived by his wife, Nancy, of 39 years. He is also survived by his children, William Jones (Eileen), Karen Wait (Bruce), Deborah Fisher (Ken), Susan Young (Stephen), and by the mother of his children, Gail Potter Jones. He is the proud grandfather of Brooks Wait, Curran Wait, Isabel Young, Caroline Young, Charlotte Fisher, Claire Fisher, and Josephine Jones (Kiarra).
A skilled wood-turner, golfer and friend to many, he especially enjoyed his time at his workshop in Jupiter, welcoming all who came by for a chat. If you wanted something done and done right "Ask Bill". He was an honest and generous man who gave more than he took. His wise council and sense of humor will be sorely missed.
