William T. Grumbine Jr., Kutztown, PA


William T. "Bill" Grumbine, Jr., 62, of Weisenberg Township, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Lisa J. (Roushey) Grumbine, whom he married on January 14, 1984.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Bill was a son of the late William T., Sr., and Mary Luvern (Allman) Grumbine. Bill was a 1976 graduate of Pocono Mountain High School and a 1982 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he received a bachelor's degree in psychology. He then attended Biblical Theological Seminary, where in 1988 he received a master's degree in biblical studies.

Bill was a talented and accomplished woodworker. He operated his own wood turning business, Wonderful Wood, for many years out of his home. He was a skilled craftsman who created custom wood turnings for his clients. Bill gave wood turning demonstrations and taught wood turning to many people across the country. His instructional videos were sold worldwide.

Bill was a teacher at heart. In addition to his woodworking instruction, he taught the Bible through lay preaching and Bible studies, homeschooled his children and was a certified gun safety instructor.

In addition to his wife Lisa, Bill is survived by his three daughters, Greta L., wife of Shawn Charlton, Ponce de Leon, FL, Sarah M., wife of Anthony Bowen, New Wilmington, PA, and Emily Theimer, Manheim, PA; seven grandchildren, Adelaide, Sadie, Charleigh, Thomas, Elias, Ezekiel and Jonah; and a brother, John Grumbine and his wife, Rowena, and daughter, Ruthie, of Pocono Pines, PA.

Along with his parents, Bill was predeceased by his son-in-law, Joel Curtis Theimer, who passed away on April 5, 2021.

A memorial service to celebrate and honor Bill's life will be held on August 28, 2021 at Grace Bible Fellowship Church on 1811 Old Bethlehem Pike, Quakertown, PA with Pastor Ron Kohl officiating. There will be a time of visitation with the family from 9:00-11:00, a service at 11:00 and a light luncheon after the service.
